IFOY Jury continues to grow ...
The international jury for the IFOY Award is being expanded. In July, five new members from among more than 20 applicants around the world have been appointed to the body. Now, a total of 27 chief editors of international leading logistics publications from 17 nations are represented in the jury.
IFOY AWARD 2017: the winners
On the opening evening of the transport logistic fair at the IFOY Award Night at BMW World in Munich, all eyes were on the world's best intralogistics machines of 2017. This year, eleven machines and solutions from seven manufacturers made it into the final round. Following the six-month selection and testing process, there were huge celebrations when the congratulatory speakers announced the traditionally well-guarded names of the winners. Jungheinrich, Still and Torwegge claimed victory in four categories and were presented with the metal and glass trophies to the applause of the 200 invited guests.
IFOY AWARD 2017: Jungheinrich's Indoor Positioning is IFOY Special of the Year
The IFOY Award 2017 in the category "Special of the Year" goes to the Indoor Positioning system from Jungheinrich AG in Hamburg. The international jury chose the intelligent system for the simple localisation of material handling as the must-have of 2017.
IFOY AWARD 2017: Still's automatic Liftrunner is the Special Vehicle of the Year
The IFOY Award 2017 in the category "Special Vehicle" goes to the tugger train with automatic loading and unloading from Still GmbH in Hamburg. The international jury selected the heavy-duty tugger train – purpose-designed to supply components to the production process on the site of an English construction machine manufacturer – as the best new product in the category of special vehicles.
IFOY AWARD 2017: TORsten is the AGV of the Year
The IFOY Award 2017 in the category "Automated Guided Vehicle" goes to TORsten from Torwegge GmbH Co. KG in Bielefeld. The international jury chose the modular drive unit as the best AGV of the year.
IFOY AWARD 2017: Still iGo Neo is the Warehouse Truck of the Year
The IFOY Award 2017 in the category "Warehouse Truck" goes to the iGo neo CX 20 from Still GmbH in Hamburg. The international jury chose the first autonomous horizontal order picker as the best warehouse truck of the year.
IFOY Test Days 2017: Jury tests IFOY AWARD finalists
Action in Hall A3 of the Messe München trade fair location: during the IFOY Test Days, the finalists for the IFOY Award were put through their paces. This year, eleven nominated trucks and components from manufacturers Crown, Jungheinrich, kickTrike, SSI Schäfer, Still, Torwegge and UniCarriers made it into the final round for the IFOY Award and were subjected to the world's biggest intralogistics test.
