Das internationale Logistikunternehmen Carreras Group hat Toyota I_Site implementiert, um die Kosten für Schäden zu reduzieren und den Warenumschlag zu optimieren. Inzwischen wurde Toyota I_Site an den meisten Standorten des Unternehmens in Spanien und Portugal eingeführt.
Toyota I_Site ist eine Kombination aus Technologie, Informationen, fachlicher Kompetenz und Beratung. Das System unterstützt die Carreras Group dabei, den Einsatz der gesamten Flotte mit Hilfe des benutzerfreundlichen und leicht zugänglichen Web-Portals besser zu überblicken. Das Unternehmen verfolgt hauptsächlich drei Ziele: geringere Betriebskosten, mehr Sicherheit und höhere Produktivität.
Die Vorteile durch die Wahl dieser Lösung liegen auf der Hand: Im Verlauf des Jahres 2011 stieg die Produktivität bei Carreras um 10 % und die Betriebskosten der Staplerflotte wurden um ca. 60 % gesenkt. Carreras konnte mit Toyota I_Site außerdem die Arbeitsabläufe optimieren, indem die Fahrzeiten gemessen und neue Aufnahmepunkte für die Paletten definiert wurden.
Durch eine Verringerung von Kollisionen und Unfällen konnte Carreras außerdem die Sicherheit für Fahrer und Waren erhöhen. Durch den kontrollierten Zugang über PIN-Codes wird gewährleistet, dass nur geschultes, autorisiertes Personal die Geräte in Betrieb nehmen kann. Bei einem Zusammenstoß oder einer starken Erschütterung kann der Stapler gesperrt und auf Kriechgeschwindigkeit begrenzt werden. Carreras konnte mit Toyota I_Site verbesserte Arbeitsabläufe einführen. So gibt es jetzt eine Bewertungsskala für die besten fünf Fahrer sowie andere Anreize für die Mitarbeiter, Schäden und unnötige Kosten zu vermeiden.
Mit Toyota I_Site gelang es Carreras außerdem, die Auslastung der Fahrer und Maschinen zu optimieren, die Nutzung der Stapler und der Batterien zu verbessern, das Qualitätsniveau aufrechtzuerhalten und die Lebensdauer der Maschinen zu erhöhen. Selbst in Bereichen, die zuvor schwer zu kontrollieren waren, wie etwa dem Batterieladen, konnte die Kosteneffizienz verbessert werden. Unter diesem Gesichtspunkt ist Toyota I_Site auch eine Lösung für eine größere Nachhaltigkeit im Materialfluss.
Für die innovativen Ergebnisse beim Warenumschlag und den für die Kunden erzielten Mehrwert wurde Toyota I_Site von IT-Profis mit dem Enterprise Software Award ausgezeichnet.

Carreras Group, an international logistics company, implemented Toyota I_Site in order to reduce damage costs and optimise its material handling operations. Today, Toyota I_Site is implemented in most of its facilities in Spain and Portugal.
Toyota I_Site is an intelligent fleet management solution combining wireless technology with Toyota expert support. The system helps Carreras Group to have a better understanding of the entire fleet use via a user-friendly web portal, to which fleet managers can easily connect at any given moment. Keeping an eye on the trucks’ data helps them to make informed decisions that will further lead to decreasing costs and improving productivity, health, safety and the environment.
The benefits of choosing this solution are clear: during 2011 Carreras’s productivity raised by 10% and the total cost for the machines and maintenance has been cut off by approximately 60%. Carreras could also optimise its working routines and measure the driving time with Toyota I_Site by moving/creating new pallet picking points inside its warehouse.
Carreras also recorded a major increase in safety with a significant reduction in shocks and accidents. Toyota I_Site uses a PIN code system, leaving only authorised drivers to get on board the truck. In the event of an impact or shock, the truck can be locked out and placed into creep speed. Managing the fleet with the Toyota I_Site supported the Carreras Group in establishing better working conditions and creating a “top driver” ranking system to set the good example and generate positive competition.
Toyota I_Site also brought Carreras optimisation of machine and driver utilisation, better forklift and battery usage, preserving their quality and leading to a longer lifespan. Improved cost-efficiency has been achieved in areas that were previously difficult to control, such as battery changing. As such, Toyota I_Site is also a solution for more sustainable material handling processes.
Toyota I_Site is a winner of the Enterprise Software Award given by IT professionals for its innovative results in the material handling and the added value brought to customers.
