Fronius is partner of the  IFOY AWARD

Unterföhring near Munich/Wels, Aug 20, 2015. Fronius International GmbH has been named the partner of the IFOY Award. From the 2016 voting period, the battery charging specialist will support the worldwide intralogistics award and supply battery charging technology for the IFOY Test. An agreement with a duration of five years was signed in August in Munich.

"The IFOY Award is a byword for innovation and peak performance, and the jury sets the highest standards when it comes to safety, technology, sustainability and cost efficiency. These aspects are also key for Fronius in terms of the charging of batteries or in the daily challenge of generating maximum benefit in a customer project. Both the IFOY Award and Fronius live by these values, and that is why we are delighted to be able to play our part and support this leading global award", says Harald Scherleitner, Head of Division Perfect Charging at Fronius International GmbH.

"The future of intralogistics is electric and, in Fronius, the IFOY Award has now succeeded in gaining the know-how leader in the field of battery charging technology as a long-term partner of the IFOY family", emphasises Anita Würmser, Executive Jury Chairperson for the IFOY AWARD.

The IFOY Test is one of the special features of the competition. In a hall specially equipped by leading international intralogistics fair CeMAT, the nominated forklifts, warehouse trucks, shuttles, high-bay and NVA or reach trucks as well as other special-purpose vehicles will be put through their paces over the course of a week by testers, scientists and, finally, each and every jury member. The nominees will in future not only be able to use their own charging system but can also take advantage of the Fronius technology.

The entry phase for the IFOY 2016 starts on August 20, 2015, and MHE vehicle manufacturers and intralogistics providers can register their new products and concepts for the competition at www.ifoy.org up to November 6. The names of the winners will be announced during the CeMAT opening ceremony on May 31, 2016 in Hannover.

The Conditions of Participation can be requested from the IFOY office (www.ifoy.org).
