250 guests are expected to attend the IFOY AWARD Night at the Phoenix des Lumières.
Ismaning near Munich/Dortmund, March 18, 2025. Renewed collaboration: Following its successful premiere in 2023, the IFOY AWARD intralogistics competition is collaborating with the TRANSFER.FESTIVAL of the Digital.Hub Logistics and the Fraunhofer Institute for Logistics and Material Flow IML for the second time in 2025. Before the IFOY AWARD Night 2025 takes place on July 3 at 6 pm at the Phoenix des Lumières, some finalists from the current competition will hold a workshop on “Automation - the biggest success factors. Learnings from the IFOY AWARD competition”.
At the fourth edition of the festival, participants can choose up to three sessions from a dozen workshops. The range of topics is broad: from automation to agile work, circular economy and network orchestration to a pen & paper hackathon - in line with the event motto “make, transfer, network.” The special feature: The organizers pack all topics into interactive formats - especially workshops.
“IFOY AWARD and science go hand in hand. The IFOY AWARD finalists work closely with researchers to ensure that their solutions are at the cutting edge of technology. In addition, the scientific IFOY Innovation Check plays an important role in the evaluation. This is why we want to inspire the transfer of knowledge from science to companies and vice versa,” explains Anita Wuermser, Executive Jury Chairwoman of the IFOY AWARD.
“With their wealth of experience and their customer examples, the IFOY AWARD finalists provide the festival with important impetus. At the same time, they can benefit from the current projects and networks of our program partners as well as the cooperation partners Logistik.NRW and Leistungszentrum Logistik und IT,” emphasizes Maria Beck, Managing Director of Digital Hub Management GmbH. The TRANSFER.FESTIVAL is complemented by lab tours that provide insights into projects and the current research work of the Fraunhofer IML - for example on topics such as mobile robotics, drones and exoskeletons. The event will conclude with a live band and the opportunity to network.
The festive IFOY AWARD Night starts at 7 pm with the finalists of the year 2025 as well as invited guests from business, research, politics and the media. Around 250 guests from six countries are expected to attend the award ceremony at the Phoenix des Lumières. The location in Dortmund is the first permanent art center of the French cultural operator Culturespaces in Germany and is located in a hall that was used as a gas blower hall for the Phoenix-West blast furnace plant at the beginning of the 20th century.
Only during the event will the well-kept secret be revealed which of the 21 nominated devices and solutions in a total of eight categories will be awarded a trophy. All finalists will have to undergo the three-stage IFOY audit at the IFOY TEST DAYS as part of the public TEST CAMP INTRALOGISTICS at Messe Dortmund on March 26 and 27. The international jury will make its decision in April.
