The nominees of this year`s IFOY AWARD have been announced. The jury will send 14 products and solutions from 12 manufacturers from a field of 29 companies to compete for the best intralogistics products and solutions of the year.
The finalists are Cargotec Engineering, Jungheinrich, Locus Robotics, Magment, NAiSE, Noyes Technologies, robominds, SICK, SSI SCHÄFER, STILL, stow robotics and SYNAOS.
All finalists will undergo the three-stage IFOY audit during the IFOY TEST DAYS from March 18 - 23, 2022 at Messe Dortmund. In this process, experts determine the key figures of the finalists in the standardized IFOY test. In the IFOY innovation check, scientists evaluate the innovative value of the nominated devices and solutions. The innovation check is carried out by specialists from the Fraunhofer IML, the University of Dresden, the Technical University of Munich and the Fraunhofer IPA. And finally, a total of 26 jurors from all continents travel to the German Ruhr region to assess the nominees themselves. The international jury consists of 26 trade journalists from leading logistics media.
The criteria assessed include innovation value, technology, ergonomics and handling, safety, marketability, design and customer benefits, as well as cost-effectiveness and sustainability. An important principle is that the finalists in a category are not compared with each other, but with their respective rivals on the market.
TEST CAMP INTRALOGISTICS for B2B guests
Not only the jurors have the opportunity to test the IFOY finalists and also other innovations of internationally renowned manufacturers on site, but also decision-makers from industry, retail and logistics services. Under the motto "Spot on Innovation and Business", the TEST CAMP INTRALOGISTICS is open to a limited number of B2B trade visitors as a 2G-Plus (vaccinated or recovered AND tested) event.
Between March 21 and 23, visitors can attend the guided highlight tours and test the vehicles themselves. The program will be complemented by top-class panel discussions on the trend topics of innovation management, Intralogistics 4.0 and VDA 5050. In addition, the VDMA is preparing a new edition of the live test of the VDA 5050 communication interface as part of the AGV Mesh-Up.
