Anita Würmser
Executive Chairperson of the IFOY Jury
Anita Würmser (born in 1961) is a journalist, publicist and Managing Director of the management and communication consulting firm wuermser.communications.
She studied Economic Geography and Political Science at Regensburg University. After graduating and undergoing training as a journalist, she began her career in 1988 in the purchasing and logistics department of Audi AG in Ingolstadt. She moved to the media industry in 1990 and was Editor-in-Chief of the logistics magazine "Logistik Heute" until 2000. Up to 2009, she was then Editor-in-Chief of the magazines "VerkehrsRundschau", "Logistik inside" and "Verkehrsdienst". She founded wuermser.communications in 2009. She also manages the business activities of the Logistics Hall of Fame, which she founded in 2003 and where she still chairs the jury.
Anita Würmser is a logistics and media expert. She has created and implemented well-known media formats, including several magazines, newsletters and online services, the nationwide "Best Apprentice" or "Logistics Master" competitions for students and apprentices or the image rankings and awards for commercial vehicles and logistics. As a journalist and columnist, she writes for various media and publishes the Logistics Blog. She also advises politicians, companies and publishers, provides support for mergers and cooperation ventures and regularly acts as a moderator.

Johannes Doll
Johannes Doll is co-owner and managing director of the logistics service provider LTG - Landauer Transportgesellschaft Doll KG, based in Garching near Munich. The family business offers its customers in industry and commerce the whole range of logistical services to contract logistics. In addition to its own commercial vehicle fleet, LTG operates five ultra-modern logistics centers in Garching near Munich, Hockenheim, Passau and Regensbur with a total storage area of over 130,000 square meters. Every year the logistics service provider invests several million euros in innovative intralogistics equipment.

Daniel Schilling
Daniel Schilling (born 1972) is editor-in-chief of the trade journal "materialfluss" and the website www.materialfluss.de.
After studying in Berlin and Strasbourg and a traineeship in Hamburg, Daniel has worked since 2002 as an editor and later editor-in-chief for trade media in the fields of technology, mechanical engineering and logistics. Stations included the brands Besser Lackieren, Privatbahnmagazin, handling and INDUSTRIAL Production. In January 2023, Daniel took over as editor-in-chief of the materialfluss brand. When not writing, Daniel is passionate about moderating congresses and seminars.

Sascha Schmel
"Elder Statesman" and permanent member of the IFOY Jury
Sascha Schmel (born in 1978) is a graduate industrial engineer and Managing Director of the VDMA Materials Handling and Intralogistics Sector Association.
As a permanent member of the jury without voting rights, Schmel represents the VDMA Materials Handling and Logistics Systems Sector Association, the sponsor of the IFOY Award.
Schmel studied at Darmstadt University of Technology. Following graduation and a period of employment in industry, he joined the VDMA as a specialist for public-law regulations in the field of mechanical engineering in 2005. He moved to the Materials Handling and Logistics Systems Sector Association in 2008 and was head of the materials handling equipment department until November 2012. In December 2012 Schmel was appointed Managing Director of the Sector Association.

Peter MacLeod
Editor „Logistics Business“
Peter MacLeod (born 1963) is responsible for the international online presence of the British logistics magazine "Logistics Business".
Peter has been a journalist in various industries since 1995, including motorsport, architecture and logistics. Among other positions, he was Editor-in-Chief of SHD Logistics in the UK for 11 years, and in this capacity has already been a jury member of the IFOY AWARD. Before recently being appointed News Editor of Logistics Business, he worked as an independent PR and marketing consultant for the logistics industry.

Sebastian Śliwieński
Editor-in-Chief Warehouse Monitor
Sebastian Śliwieński (born 1977) is Editor-in-Chief of the Polish logistics magazine "Warehouse Monitor" and has been professionally involved in media activities in the logistics market for a number of years.
Previously Sebastian Śliwieński was the Editor-in-Chief of the economy section of the biggest regional quality newspaper in Poland, “Głos Wielkopolski”, and worked for leading economics magazines (e.g. the Polish edition of “BusinessWeek”). He is also a member of a group that independently analyses logistics markets – “Warehouse Monitor Research”. He is the originator and co-organiser of the Polish Congress on Warehousing and Logistics (2009 and 2010 events). He is the initiator and author of the first Polish market research on quantity and quality, the most important topics for Polish readers. He is the author of a number of texts describing the Polish and European warehousing logistics markets.
Sebastian Śliwieński has won a highly prestigious award for Polish economics journalists – “Sharp Pen”.

Marilena Matei (born in 1972) is Editorial Manager of the Romanian Tranzit Logistica magazines "Tranzit" and "Tranzit Logistica".
Marilena Matei studied at the University of Journalism and Sciences of Communication in Bukarest and graduated 1995. Durind her time at the University she already worked as a radio news editor at Radio Total before she became news editor at Auto-piata, a weekly newspaper edited by Motor Presse in Romania, the news magazine for the automotive market.
1996 she was appointed Editor-in-Chief of "Cargo Romania", the first transport magazine established in Romania in 1996. 2001 she founded "Tranzit and Logistica magazines", held by Marilena Matei (70% of the shares) and Ion Matei (30%).
Her fokus is on all areas of technical logistics. She also has the Licence for driving forklift trucks, trucks, buses and coaches.
Tranzit
Launched on the market in 2001, Tranzit addresses transport and logistics managers working in the field of domestic and international transport of goods and passengers, distribution and logistics, construction, agriculture and wood exploitation, retailers, manufacturers that make their own distribution, service shops and manufacturers/distributors of spare parts etc.
Trazit writes about the business in transport & logistics, technical & commercial information about the equipments and software used in the field, legislation issues, economy and fiscal analysis of the supply-chain etc.

Bernd Maienschein (born 1964) is a specialist editor at Vogel Communications in Würzburg. Among other things, he writes for the German logistics magazine "MM Logistik," which is published six times a year with a circulation of 15,000 copies. The daily newsletter has 8,000 readers, the website 80,000 PIs. He also writes for "MM MaschinenMarkt.
After studying at the Würzburg-Schweinfurt University of Applied Sciences from 1982 to 1986 and then completing his military service, the graduate in Business Administration (FH) began his career at Vogel Business Media in 1988. After holding various positions at the Würzburg-based trade media company, he completed a traineeship at the trade magazine "Umweltmagazin" from 1990 to 1991.
Maienschein is specialized in topics related to material flow and logistics. He accompanied the internationalization of "MM MaschinenMarkt" on the editorial track and was at the same time managing editor of the English-language magazines "Transfer", "Trade Channel" and "MM Europe" at Vogel Business Media. Since the founding of the trade journal "MM Logistik", he has been responsible for its content and orientation as well as the online presence of the business efficiency portal mm-logistik.de.
MM Logistik
MM Logistik is the trade magazine for logistics in industry and the trading sector. It profiles products and applications that cater to the information needs of the manufacturing industry, the trading sector and the providers of logistics services. The topic spectrum comprises conveying technology, storage technology, packaging technology, distribution, management and IT and features updated reports on key events in the logistics sector. MM Logistik focuses on the management personnel who make decisions on logistics processes in companies with more than 100 employees as well at shipping companies and other logistics service providers. The trade magazine for logistics has an online presence in the form of the mm-logistik.de website. Five theme channels provide users with the latest news as well as specific topics in webcast and whitepaper formats.
