Anita Würmser
Executive Chairperson of the IFOY Jury

Anita Würmser (born in 1961) is a journalist, publicist and Managing Director of the management and communication consulting firm wuermser.communications.

She studied Economic Geography and Political Science at Regensburg University. After graduating and undergoing training as a journalist, she began her career in 1988 in the purchasing and logistics department of Audi AG in Ingolstadt. She moved to the media industry in 1990 and was Editor-in-Chief of the logistics magazine "Logistik Heute" until 2000. Up to 2009, she was then Editor-in-Chief of the magazines "VerkehrsRundschau", "Logistik inside" and "Verkehrsdienst". She founded wuermser.communications in 2009. She also manages the business activities of the Logistics Hall of Fame, which she founded in 2003 and where she still chairs the jury.

Anita Würmser is a logistics and media expert. She has created and implemented well-known media formats, including several magazines, newsletters and online services, the nationwide "Best Apprentice" or "Logistics Master" competitions for students and apprentices or the image rankings and awards for commercial vehicles and logistics. As a journalist and columnist, she writes for various media and publishes the Logistics Blog. She also advises politicians, companies and publishers, provides support for mergers and cooperation ventures and regularly acts as a moderator.

Johannes Doll is co-owner and managing director of the logistics service provider LTG - Landauer Transportgesellschaft Doll KG, based in Garching near Munich. The family business offers its customers in industry and commerce the whole range of logistical services to contract logistics. In addition to its own commercial vehicle fleet, LTG operates five ultra-modern logistics centers in Garching near Munich, Hockenheim, Passau and Regensbur with a total storage area of over 130,000 square meters. Every year the logistics service provider invests several million euros in innovative intralogistics equipment.

Daniel Schilling

Daniel Schilling (born 1972) is editor-in-chief of the trade journal "materialfluss" and the website www.materialfluss.de.
After studying in Berlin and Strasbourg and a traineeship in Hamburg, Daniel has worked since 2002 as an editor and later editor-in-chief for trade media in the fields of technology, mechanical engineering and logistics. Stations included the brands Besser Lackieren, Privatbahnmagazin, handling and INDUSTRIAL Production. In January 2023, Daniel took over as editor-in-chief of the materialfluss brand. When not writing, Daniel is passionate about moderating congresses and seminars.

Sascha Schmel
"Elder Statesman" and permanent member of the IFOY Jury

Sascha Schmel (born in 1978) is a graduate industrial engineer and Managing Director of the VDMA Materials Handling and Intralogistics Sector Association.

As a permanent member of the jury without voting rights, Schmel represents the VDMA Materials Handling and Logistics Systems Sector Association, the sponsor of the IFOY Award.

Schmel studied at Darmstadt University of Technology. Following graduation and a period of employment in industry, he joined the VDMA as a specialist for public-law regulations in the field of mechanical engineering in 2005. He moved to the Materials Handling and Logistics Systems Sector Association in 2008 and was head of the materials handling equipment department until November 2012. In December 2012 Schmel was appointed Managing Director of the Sector Association.

Hans-Joachim Schlobach
Editor-in-Chief BUSINESS + LOGISTIC

Hans-Joachim Schlobach (born in 1964) is a self-employed publisher (RS Verlag GmbH) as well as the publisher and Editor-in-Chief of the Austrian business magazine "BUSINESS + LOGISTIC".

After studying Political Science, Sociology and Law at the University of Heidelberg and completing a university course for advertising and sales at the Vienna University of Economics and Business, he began working as a journalist in 1993. From the outset, his core fields of interest have been business, logistics as a cross-functional activity, computers/EDP, media, Internet and telecommunications.

Schlobach has written for numerous publications in the portfolios of Gruner + Jahr, WEST-Magazin Wirtschafts- und Zeitungsverlag, Holzbrinck, Bondi and other publishing companies. He was Editor-in-Chief of the trade magazine "dispo" at Springer Business Media in Vienna. Since 2009, he has been a self-employed publisher (RS Verlag GmbH) and the publisher and Editor-in-Chief of leading Austrian business magazine BUSINESS+LOGISTIC.

Isabel Rodrigo

Isabel Rodrigo (born 1963) is editor-in-chief of the Spanish logistics magazine "Cuadernos de Logística" since 2021. The Spanish trade magazine is published by C de Comunicación, a communications group active in the logistics, hardware and DIY, meat, electrical accessories and air conditioning, and comfort sectors.

A journalist by training, she studied at the Complutense University of Madrid. Isabel previously worked for the publishing group Grupo Tecnipublicaciones for more than 20 years. Initially, she was editor for the environment, chemicals and pharmaceuticals sections until she became editor-in-chief of "Logística Profesional" magazine in 2004.

Peter MacLeod (born 1963) is responsible for the international online presence of the British logistics magazine "Logistics Business".

Peter has been a journalist in various industries since 1995, including motorsport, architecture and logistics. Among other positions, he was Editor-in-Chief of SHD Logistics in the UK for 11 years, and in this capacity has already been a jury member of the IFOY AWARD. Before recently being appointed News Editor of Logistics Business, he worked as an independent PR and marketing consultant for the logistics industry.

Bernd Maienschein (born 1964) is a specialist editor at Vogel Communications in Würzburg. Among other things, he writes for the German logistics magazine "MM Logistik," which is published six times a year with a circulation of 15,000 copies.
